Serving video that's being shared on social media led to the arrest of a Saudi daisy man. Thanks for joining us tonight. I'm Kim Chapman with Field. And I'm Josh Ropoli say that video was taken four years ago but has only gone viral in the last 24 hours or so. The video appears to show Ricky Casey as he violently slams a young child into a bed. Investigators say they're still looking at that the child's mother has any responsibility for what happened. However, an arrest affidavit shows the mother told investigators quote he always picked on that one.

News Channel 9's Lexi Horavath joins us now to explain what else you learned about Casey's arrest Lexi. Josh, this is a screenshot of a viral video being shared on Facebook. Late Monday night, we received a flood of emails pertaining to this video. A few hours later, police took one man into custody and the arrest affidavit describing the video showing an infant quote being violently slammed repeatedly in a Chattanooga home. We went to both the home where the report says this video is recorded and the home the booking report lists as Ricky Casey's home.

But no one was home at either place. We aren't showing you the video but in it you can see a quote baby being violently slammed repeatedly on what appeared to be bedding by an adult male according to the affidavit. The sheriff's deputies arrested Casey at his work on Monday.

He's now facing aggravated domestic assault and aggravated child abuse charges. This arrest affidavit reveals that detective spoke with Ricky Casey about this viral video. It says he told them he quote had anger issues at this time in that he only did this once.

In the video, the affidavit describes traumatic shaking that can cause brain swelling and brain bleeding. But the mother of the child told police the child was never seen by a doctor following that event. One big question that remains. The arrest affidavit says the video was recorded in 2020 or 2021. But the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says they are unclear how the video recently surfaced. We went to social media where comments have been pouring in the past 24 hours, saying things like quote the person taking that video needs to be held responsible as well.

And quote something should have been done a long time ago wonder how much that child has been through since. The affidavit says the mother of the child told police quote Ricky always picked on that one, but she didn't know why. The district attorney says they are looking into if the mother has any culpability. Josh, Lexi, thank you. Casey sits in the Hamilton County jail on a $300,000 bond.
